Next Sunday morning will be a sad day in the history of our church, we will lose a true man of God. We are planning on celebrating Preacher Terry’s time with us during the morning worship service. There will be special guests here to help us to show Terry how much he is loved by this church and community. We are also planning on having a fellowship after morning service, the church will provide the meat and we ask everyone to bring a well filled basket of vegetables and desserts. We will not have services next Sunday night, to give everyone time to fellowship with Terry, Sonya and Anna.

Our hats are off to ya’ partner. It’s been a long ride, but a good ‘un.

Five souls were saved at Calvary Baptist Ranch during 2010 Vacation Bible School. We are so proud of these children. 2010 VBS blessed us all at Calvary Baptist. On behalf of the children that attended, we would like to thank the adults that led VBS, decorated the classes and sanctuary, prepared our meals, taught our classes, rode stick horses and made us laugh, brought in the ponies, and most of all, taught us about Jesus. We thank you and love in the Lord. For those of you that might have missed VBS this summer, please check for VBS at other local churches. Until next year, happy trails partner!

Everyone knows the way to the a man’s heart is through his belly! The youth will be sponsoring a cake auction on Sunday, June 20th from 10am to 12pm. There will be many different types of tasty desserts up for bid during this time. If you would like place a dessert up for bidding, please see any youth leader before June 20th. Your support will be greatly appreciated by the youth in their effort to raise funds for their trip to Garden City Chapel.

That’s right. The youth will be working at the Car Wash on Saturday, June 19th from 9am to 3pm. Please bring your vehicle, motorcycle, bicycle, moped, big wheel, wagon, or horse by Calvary Baptist Church on 2929 Cherokee Avenue in Gaffney, SC. The cost for a professional wash of any form of transportation will be just $10.00. The youth are raising funds for the Garden City Chapel trip and would love to share the word of God with you.

Saddle up partner for Vacation Bible School at Saddle Ridge Ranch, better known as the Calvary Baptist Ranch. Vacation Bible School will begin today, June 6th, and will continue until June 10th. Fellowship and services will begin each night at 6pm. All children ages 2 through high school are invited to attend Vacation Bible School. Our older cowboys and cowgirls can attend the adult class that will be held on the same dates and times. Ya’ll come and worship with us. We’d love to see ya!

We are very excited that we have met our Connie Maxwell goal of raising $5000. Today, Dr. Ben Davis, President and CEO of Connie Maxwell Children’s Home, visits and accepts our love offering of $5000. Dr. Davis presented Calvary Baptist Church a certificate of recognition for now being in the Top 20 South Carolina Donors. We are very honored and blessed to be a part of the Connie Maxwell family. A special thank you to all the Calvary children for faithfully bringing their love offerings each week.

We will present our annual drama, starting this Friday
March 26 at 7:00 PM, we will also present the drama Saturday March 27 at 7:00 PM, and the last performance will be on Sunday March 28 at 6:00 PM. We hope that you will come and worship with us during this exciting time in our church.

Please, please remember we are reaching our goal of $5,000 for Connie Maxwell each week. Please save your change and turn it in each week. I would like to have this goal met by our Easter Drama. We are only $1,599 away from our goal of $5,000. By the end of March, I hope to have reached our goal. I am so proud of our children here at Calvary. God bless you all. I love you all so much.
